“Documentation Office” in Syria Press Center has managed at the end of last January to document 702 martyrs authenticated with names, they are classified into 576 civilians most of them were killed in massacres committed by regime forces and its ally the Russian air force, and 126 fighters most of them passed away in battles with regime forces.
*- The martyred “Civilians” are classified into the following order:
– 114 children
-77 women
– 6 pressmen
– 5 medical staff
– 5 civil defense
– 368 usual civilians
*- The martyred “Civilians” in accordance to the perpetrators are distributed in the following order:
– 218 martyrs by regime forces
– 113 martyrs by Russian air force
– 38 martyrs by the Turkish forces
– 80 martyrs by National Coalition
– 69 martyrs by ISIS
– 24 martyrs in blasts explosions
– 12 martyrs by undefined shooting
– 8 martyrs in a fire in refugees camps
– 7 martyrs out of torture in regime prisons
– 3 martyrs due to shortage of medication and food
– 2 martyrs by opposition factions
– 1 martyr by Syria Democratic Forces
– 1 martyr by the Turkish guard borders “Gendarmes”
*- Regarding Fighters, they are distributed in the following order:
– 72 passed away in battles with regime
– 33 passed away in air strikes by Russian and National Coalition military fighters
– 6 were assassinated by anonymous
– 14 passed away in battles with ISIS
– 1 martyr in battles with Syria Democratic Forces
*- The martyred “Civilians and Fighters” in accordance to provinces are distributed in the following order:
-Aleppo 198 martyrs
-Damascus Countryside 138 martyrs
– Deir Azzor 134 martyrs
– Homs 57 martyrs
– Raqqa 52 martyrs
– Idlib 51 martyrs
– Dara’a 36 martyrs
– Hama 16 martyrs
– Hasakah 15 martyrs
– Lattakia 2 martyrs
– Damascus 2 martyrs
– Qunitra 1 martyr
It is worthy to mention that the number of martyrs who passed away in the second half of last year 2016 reached 10185 martyrs of civilians and fighters where most of them were killed by regime forces and its allies.
